FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Real answers to what people ask before they book.

Will my insurance cover this?

Most US and Canadian plans reimburse out-of-network physical therapy. After each session you can download a superbill with the CPT code (97110), ICD-10 diagnosis, and your provider's NPI — most plans accept it for partial reimbursement. We recommend asking your insurer first whether they cover CPT 97110 by an out-of-network licensed PT via telehealth. See the billing page for the questions to ask.

Can I use HSA or FSA funds?

Yes. Sessions with a licensed physiotherapist are an HSA-/FSA-eligible medical expense. Use your HSA or FSA card at checkout, or pay with a regular card and submit your superbill to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement.

What's the difference between NurtureCore Studio and a regular pilates class?

Every NurtureCore Studio session is 1:1 with a licensed physiotherapist who designs the workout around your body, your history, and your goals for that day. A class can't do that. Our physios specialize in postpartum recovery, pelvic floor, pre-natal, lower back pain, hypermobility, and chronic pain — areas a generic class is rarely equipped to handle safely.

I'm postpartum. Is this safe?

Yes, with the right physio. Filter by "Postpartum" or "Pelvic Floor" on the browse page to find providers who specialize. Most clear clients to begin gentle pilates around 6 weeks postpartum (12 weeks for C-section recoveries), but your physio will assess and adjust at the first session.

What equipment do I need?

A yoga mat is enough to start. Some physios may suggest a small ball, a resistance band, or a couple of light weights as you progress — nothing fancy. They'll tell you in your first session.

How long is a session?

You choose: 30 minutes (quick check-in or maintenance), 45 minutes (the most popular length), or 1 hour (full assessment + work). Each option is priced separately and shown on the physio's profile.

What if I need to cancel?

Free to cancel up to 24 hours before. From 2 to 24 hours before, you'll receive a 50% refund. Within 2 hours, no refund. If your physio cancels for any reason, you get 100% back automatically. Full details on the cancellation policy page.

Are sessions recorded?

Not by default. Your physio can offer to record specific exercises so you can reference them later, but only with your explicit consent at the start of the recorded portion. You always own your recordings and can request deletion.

What credentials do NurtureCore Studio physios have?

Every provider holds a current and unrestricted license to practice physiotherapy (DPT in the US, registered PT in Canada). We verify their license, NPI / provincial provider number, and active malpractice insurance during onboarding before they can take bookings. Many also hold pilates certifications (Polestar, STOTT, Balanced Body).

How do I find the right physio for me?

Use the filters on browse: pick your specialty (postpartum, pelvic floor, lower back, hypermobility, etc.), set a price range, and sort by rating. Read reviews and watch a sample video. Still not sure? Book a 30-minute first session — the lowest-cost way to see if you click.

Is NurtureCore Studio available in my country?

Right now we serve clients in the United States and Canada. Sign up anyway — we'll let you know as soon as we open in your country.

Why do you only show physios in my state?

Two reasons. First, most US and Canadian insurance plans only reimburse physical therapy delivered by a provider licensed in the patient's state or province at the time of the session — so an out-of-state booking would mean no reimbursement. Second, many state and provincial physiotherapy boards prohibit cross-state practice. We filter the browse page by your location so the receipt you get is actually one your insurer will accept.

How do I become a provider?

Apply through the provider sign-up page. We review applications within 2 business days. You'll need your license, NPI (US) or provider number (Canada), proof of malpractice coverage, and a current profile photo.
